Terms of Service

1. Description of the Service

ScreenSei is a native macOS application that lets you record your screen and camera simultaneously, edit recordings (cuts, zoom, camera overlay, cursor styling, captions), and export video files. Recordings and project files are processed and stored locally on your device; ScreenSei does not require your video content to pass through our servers to function. We may update, change, or discontinue features of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

2. Subscription and Payments

Access to paid features of ScreenSei is offered on a subscription or one-time purchase basis, as described at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as the merchant of record for all purchases. Paddle handles billing, taxes, and payment collection on our behalf, and your payment information is subject to Paddle’s privacy policy and terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the payment confirmation email sent by Paddle or by contacting us directly. Prices may change; we will provide reasonable notice before any change takes effect for existing subscribers.

3. Refund Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a refund within 14 days of the original transaction by emailing [email protected]. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Refunds are not guaranteed after the 14-day window, for renewal charges on subscriptions that were not canceled before renewal, or in cases of suspected abuse of this policy. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through Paddle and may take several business days to appear.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Record, capture, or distribute content without the consent of individuals who are entitled to privacy under applicable law;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service, except as permitted by law;
• Redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, or lease the Service or any license key without our prior written consent;
• Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with licensing, security, or usage-limiting features of the Service;
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any account found to be in violation of this section.

5. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScreenSei and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

6. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
