Last updated July 3, 2026
This Privacy Notice for Emilio Damian Lucas Guardado, doing business as ScreenSei (“we,” “us,” or “our”), describes how and why we may collect, store, use, and/or share your personal information when you visit screensei.com or use ScreenSei, our macOS screen recording application. If you have questions, contact us at [email protected].
1. What Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, such as your email address and billing address, when you express interest in our products, purchase a subscription, or contact us for support.
Payment data. Purchases are processed by our payment provider, Paddle. Paddle collects and stores payment instrument details on our behalf; we do not receive or store your full card details. See Paddle’s privacy policy for details.
Recordings and project files. ScreenSei processes screen and camera recordings locally on your device to provide its editing features. We do not collect, upload, or have access to the content of your recordings.
2. How We Process Your Information
We process your information to provide and improve the Service, process payments, respond to support requests, communicate with you about your account, detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. We only process personal information when we have a valid legal reason to do so, such as your consent, the performance of a contract with you, or our legitimate business interests.
3. Legal Bases (EEA, UK, and Canada)
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Canada, we rely on legal bases such as your consent, the necessity of processing to perform a contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests to process your personal information. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us.
4. When We Share Your Information
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes. We may share information with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract (such as Paddle for payment processing), or if required to do so in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, or to comply with applicable law.
5. How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this notice, unless a longer retention period is required by law (for example, for tax or accounting purposes).
6. How We Keep Your Information Safe
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at [email protected] or by submitting a data subject access request. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Do-Not-Track Signals
There is currently no uniform industry standard for recognizing Do-Not-Track signals, so we do not respond to them at this time.
10. US State Privacy Rights
If you reside in a US state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or others), you may have the right to know what personal information we process about you, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, obtain a copy of your data, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected] or submit a data subject access request.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised “Last updated” date at the top of this notice.
